Participation in the Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on the “Role of Public Institutions in the Transformative Impact of New Technologies”
UNPOG staff members participated in the EGM on the “Role of Public Institutions in the Transformative Impact of New Technologies” from December 6 to 7, 2018 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The EGM was organized by UN DESA/DPIDG and discussed the role of government in taking advantage of new technologies for the advancement of human welfare and focused on the benefits and risks of new technologies such as AI, blockchain, robotics and big data when adapting those for public services delivery.
