Courtesy Visit from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea (20 March 2024, Incheon, Republic of Korea)

On 20 March, DPIDG/UNPOG received a courtesy visit from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) of the Republic of Korea, headed by Mr. Young Jun Jung, the Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination of MOIS. Mr. Jung conducted a site visit to the venue of the UN Public Service Forum (UNPSF) together with the venues of the study visits for the participants of the Forum including the Incheon Smart City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Global Center. MOIS provided an overall update of the preparatory work for the UNPSF and likewise received an update from UNPOG on its preparation for Workshop 7 on “Strengthening Effective Governance and Public Institutions for Climate Action.” Both sides agreed to actively promote the upcoming UNPSF.
