Background
The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) and its Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) and the Office of the Prime Minister of Uganda through the SDG Secretariat is jointly organizing a National Workshop on "SDG-Aligned Local Planning and Multi-Level Governance" in Kampala, Uganda from 24 to 26 March 2026.

The National Workshop will be convened to support national and district-level stakeholders in strengthening SDG delivery through improved multi-level governance, data-driven local planning, and the application of subsidiarity-based approaches to SDG localization, including the piloting of district readiness assessments and action planning aligned with Uganda's National Development Plan IV and Leave No One Behind priorities.
