
13 February 2025 – UNPOG/DPIDG took part in Mongolia’s significant toward advancing its digital transformation during the inauguration of the High-Level Conference on National Strategy for Big Data and Artificial Intelligence held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The conference served as a platform for collaborative discussion on shaping Mongolia’s AI strategy, positioning the country to advance digital transformation by 2030.
UNPOG/DPIDG shared valuable insights, drawing on elements from the Pact of the Future, the Global Digital Compact, and findings from the 2024 Government Survey. Lessons learned from the 8th Regional Symposium on Effective Governance and AI Transformation also resonated throughout the event focusing on themes including AI-driven innovation in public administration, digital inclusion to bridge the digital divide, the role of AI in early warning systems, and the importance of robust ethical frameworks.
The high-level conference marks a milestone in Mongolia’s pursuit of digital transformation and its efforts to harness the power of AI for social and economic development.
