3rd Youth Forum on SDG Implementation (11 November 2019, Incheon, Republic of Korea)

In collaboration with Korean Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Environment, and Incheon Metropolitan City, DPIDG/UNPOG organized the 3rd Youth Forum on SDG Implementation on 11 November 2019 in Incheon, Republic of Korea. The objective of the Youth Forum was to build knowledge and enhance engagement of the youth for accelerating the achievement of SDGs. The Forum kicked off with an orientation followed by a lecture on “Leveraging Public Governance and Engaging Youth to Accelerate SDG Achievement”. 15 youth representatives selected from the preliminary essay evaluations were invited to deliver individual presentations, which were followed by group discussions. The panel of 3 judges – staff from ESCAP, UNDRR and UNPOG respectively – selected 9 winners to participate in the Special Youth Session to be held on the 21st of November 2019, which will be held in parallel to the Regional Symposium on “Leveraging Public Governance to Accelerate the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals—Transformation, Innovation & Inclusion”. The finalist select champion will be granted the opportunity to be one panel discussant in the Regional Symposium during Plenary Session IV on “Inclusive Governance and Leaving No one Behind to Accelerate SDG Implementation”.
