Meeting with Seoul National University Global R&DB Center (27 December 2019, Seoul, Republic of Korea)

As a follow up to the Regional Symposium held on 20-22 November 2019, the Head of UNPOG and Director of Seoul National University Global R&DB Center (SNUGRC) had a very fruitful meeting on 27 December 2019 to explore further collaboration in the field of science, technology and innovation (STI) for achieving the SDGs. During the meeting, both sides highlighted the pivotal role of STI, particularly the importance of leveraging frontier technologies, for improving the public service delivery and engaging whole societies.
Considering that the enrolled participants of the GRC programme are mostly mid-career government officials from developing countries, UNPOG has expressed its interests to further engage the GRC programme in its future capacity development activities. Meanwhile, GRC also committed to share its updates with UNPOG for better cooperation in research and capacity development activities.
