On 25 and 29 November, two DPIDG/UNPOG staff participated in the 2022 Advanced International Skills Development Program, organized by the National Human Resources Development Institute (NHI) of the Republic of Korea. The objective of this program is to develop advanced skills for work in international affairs. UNPOG staff led and facilitated the break-out session on Discussion on Global Issues. The topics for discussion included: i) Regional Conflict and Refugees, ii) Best Practices for International Exchange in the Post-COVID-19 Era, and iii) Absorbing the Shocks of International Financial Crises. The event presented a good opportunity to promote the UN DESA Curriculum on Governance for the SDGs to about 50 participants comprising of Korean government officials and academia.
