Study Visit from National Human Resources Development Institute (NHI) Overseas Training Preparatory Programme (7 April 2023, Incheon, Republic of Korea)

On 7 April 2023, DPIDG/UNPOG received a Study Visit from the Republic of Korea’s National Human Resources Development Institute (NHI) Overseas Training Preparatory Programme. The Study Visit was attended by 12 representatives from various government institutions including the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, Korea Meteorological Administration, Presidential Security Service, Korea Communications Commission, Cultural Heritage Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Personnel Management, Ministry of Unification, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
During the Study Visit, UNPOG staffs introduced the i) office mandate, ii) 2022 and 2023 UNPOG activities, and iii) the Curriculum on Governance for the SDGs. At the end of the visit, the visitors enhanced their understanding on the critical role of strengthening public institutions for effective SDG implementation.
