Participation in the Meeting of the Task Team on Digital Transformation in Cambodia on the SDG Fund - Digitalization Window (26 July 2023, Virtual)

On 26 July 2023, DPIDG/UNPOG participated in the Meeting of the Task Team to further discuss the Expression of Interest (EOI) for SDG Fund - Digitalization Window. The Digitalization Window aims to support the establishment of a modern, transparent, and efficient e-government capable of accelerating the SDG implementation - as clearly requested by the Government to the UNCT.
The meeting was joined by more than 40 participants from various UN agencies, and was convened by the UN RCO in Cambodia and led by UNDP Cambodia. The participants reviewed the Window on Digital Transformation - Investment Strategy, the Government Digital Policy 2022-2035 Map, which highlights immediate and intermediate priorities for subsequent joint resource mobilisation, and the UN Joint Programme guidance. Participants also discussed the digital principles in alignment with UN Secretary-General's Our Common Agenda 2021 and SDG Guidance Notes including Leaving No One Behind, Resilience, Gender Equality.
This meeting was expected to i) mobilise collective capacity and best possible offers of UN to the Government, ii) promote collaboration and coherence across UN entities to reduce fragmentation, and iii) focus on scale, catalytic, high impact, principle of inclusion and rights based. The participating UN entities in the Digital Window of SDG Fund will be determined at a later stage – pending comprehensive analysis, offers and other factors.
