ESCAP 8th North-East Asia Multistakeholder Forum on Sustainable Development Goals 2024 (24 October 2024, Incheon, Republic of Korea)

At the invitation of the Head of the ESCAP Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia, DPIDG/UNPOG staff attended the Forum, which is ESCAP’s flagship annual subregional event and part of the consultation process for the annual Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD). The Forum’s focus aligns with the 2025 ECOSOC and HLPF theme, "Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs, leaving no one behind." The key goals in focus are Goals 3, 5, 8, 14, and 17. At the Forum, DPIDG/UNPOG actively promoted the upcoming 8th Regional Symposium on Effective Governance and Artificial Intelligence Transformation for the 2030 Agenda to the Member States. The Forum also provided valuable insights from ESCAP subregional snapshot, updates from the Member States, and perspectives from CSOs and youth representatives, all of which will help inform the Regional Symposium.
