Meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office and UNDP Rwanda on Collaboration in Co-organizing the Capacity Development Workshop on Effective National to Local Governance for SDG Implementation in Rwanda (23 October 2024)

DPIDG/UNPOG had a virtual meeting with the UN RCO in Rwanda and UNDP Rwanda to discuss the collaboration in co-organizing the Capacity Development Workshop on Effective National to Local Governance for SDG Implementation in Rwanda, which will be held from 11 to 13 December 2024. The Workshop aims to enhance the capacity of local governments to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, AU Agenda 2063, and Rwanda Vision 2050. It will promote a critical understanding of sustainable development issues, enhance governance capacity, and strengthen public servants’ awareness of their active role in achieving the 2030 Agenda, AU Agenda 2063, and Rwanda Vision 2050. During the meeting, UNPOG shared the Concept Note/Agenda of the Capacity Development Workshop, and the UN RCO in Rwanda and UNDP Rwanda provided feedback and recommendations to UNPOG for further review and updating.
They committed their support for the workshop, and UNPOG will maintain ongoing communication with the two offices to ensure its successful implementation.
