Scoping Mission to Nepal for UNPOG and UNOSD Policy Advisory Service (7-9 November, Kathmandu, Nepal)

As part of the advisory service for SDG Implementation for Member States, DPIDG/UNPOG conducted a scoping mission to Nepal for UNPOG policy advisory service from 7-9 November 2023. The objective of this mission is to i) identify SDG priority areas of collaboration for UNPOG policy advisory service, ii) understand Nepal’s country context, and iii) strengthen and build future partnership with the Government of Nepal in various forms of capacity building. During the mission, UNPOG staff members had a series of consultative meetings with the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Nepal, UNDP Nepal, UNICEF, UNOPS, Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC), National Planning Commission (NPC), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Forests and Environment, Department of Water Supply and Sewage Management, and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal.
UNPOG will follow up on the request of Government of Nepal and work with the UN Country Team to strengthen the governance for achieving the 2030 Agenda in Nepal.
