Participation in the Meeting of the UN Task Team on Digital Transformation in Cambodia (9 February 2023, Virtual)

On 9 February 2023, one DPIDG/UNPOG staff joined the virtual meeting of the UN Task Team on Digital Transformation in Cambodia organized by the UN RCO in Cambodia. The meeting discussed inclusion of digital transformation in the UNSDCF Result Framework. The meeting was also attended by colleagues from UNICEF, UNESCO and FAO. During the meeting, the task team had an in-depth discussion on the draft outcome statement on digital transformation and the possible outputs. The task team considered digital transformation—which was proposed during the prioritization exercise—as an accelerator and crosscutting theme in all of the UNSDCF outcomes. Subsequent to this meeting, the UNCT in Cambodia discussed the Result Framework of current UNSDCF during the retreat and they underscored the importance of having digitalization as a crosscutting theme across the 4 pillars of Human, Economic, Planet and Social Transformation. The UNCT in Cambodia also suggested that the draft outcome statement and the possible outputs, as proposed by the Task Team, could be considered for integration in the existing outcomes/outputs with some adjustments to the statements to reflect digital transformation.
