Participation in the Virtual International Conference on Challenges to Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilient Habitat (5-6 April 2022)

At the request of the Centre for Disaster Management Studies of University of Delhi Sheikh Sarai, Phase II, DPIDG/UNPOG delivered a keynote speech at the International Conference on Challenges to Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilient Habitat via Zoom on 5 April 2022. The speech entitled “Risk-informed Governance for the SDGs Implementation” discussed topics on emerging challenges and impact of COVID-19 pandemic and climate crisis on the SDGs, effective governance for disaster risk reduction and the SDGs, and policy implications and key takeaways. The conference was attended by 230 participants who are professionals, academics, and university students. The event also provided a good opportunity to promote the UN DESA/DPIDG’s Curriculum on Governance for the SDGs.
