Training Session on “Strengthening Public Governance and Harnessing Innovation for Leaving No One Behind to Realize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” during the Third African Women Leadership Program (AWLP-3) (17 March 2022) March 18, 2022
 
 
At the request of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Egypt, DPIDG/UNPOG organized a Training Session on “Strengthening Public Governance and Harnessing Innovation for Leaving No One Behind to Realize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” during the AWLP-3. The Session aimed to help enhance participants’ awareness and understanding of the principle of leaving no one behind, the Principles of Effective Governance, and public value and social innovation for leaving no one behind. The Session introduced strategies, approaches, as well as innovative practices to strengthen public governance and harness innovation for public service delivery and engagement of people in vulnerable situations to ensure leaving no one behind and realize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The discussion of the Session also addressed innovative approaches to women’s empowerment by fostering women’s participation and gender-responsive governance. The Session also facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experiences among African women leaders for peer-to-peer learning.
