Special Lecture on SDGs at Korea University (4 December 2019, Seoul, Republic of Korea)

The Head of UNPOG and one accompanying staff jointly delivered a special lecture for 100 plus students at the College of Engineering of Korea University on 4 December 2019. UNPOG staff provided an overview of the UN system and especially introduced the work of DPIDG/UNPOG on promoting innovation in public service delivery and multi-stakeholder engagement for achieving the SDGs. The Lecture also highlighted the important role of science, technology and innovation (STI) in achieving the SDGs through demonstrating specific innovative cases of leveraging ICT and digital government for sustainable development.
The Special Lecture provided a valuable opportunity to raise the awareness of youth on SDGs and emphasized the significant role of youth in SDG implementation, as the youth are endowed with high ICT skills and creative ideas for innovation.
