Capacity Development Workshop - 2014 UNPS Forum June 26, 2014
 
United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Security and Public Administration of the Republic of Korea (MOSPA) organised 2014 UN Public Service Forum, Day, and Awards Ceremony from 23rd to 26th of June 2013. The overall theme of this year’s Forum is “Innovating Governance for Sustainable Development and Well-being of the People.”
 
During the Forum, United Nations Project Office on Governance and E-Government Branch of Division of Public Administration and Development Management of UNDESA organised a Capacity Development Workshop on “Innovations and E-Governance for Sustainable Development.” The Workshop consists of 4 Sessions covering the following topics:

1) E-Government Global & Regional Trends and Emerging Issues; 
2) Collaborative Leadership for Whole-of-Government; 
3) Policies and Strategies for Innovative Service Delivery; and 
4) E-Government for Sustainable Development in Small Island Developing States 
 
Commenced with the Opening Remarks by UNPOG Head, Mr. Jae-hong Lim, the Workshop provided substantive knowledge and practical cases on e-Government along with the opportunities for experts from all around the globe to share their ideas and inspire each other. 
 
Over 120 participants including academia, high-level policy-makers, as well as government officials attended the Workshop. In particular, a number of winners of 2014 United Nations Public Service Award presented their successful cases on public service delivery throughout the 4 Sessions of the Workshop.
