April 2, 2018

Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), through its Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) and the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), in collaboration with UNDP Global Centre on Public Service Excellence (GCPSE), are co-organizing the Executive Development Course on Digital Government for Transformation Towards Sustainable and Resilient Societies – the Singapore Experience (the “Course”).

The Course aims to enhance the capacities of the SIDS, LDCs, and LLDCs in leveraging ICTs and digital government to address the special vulnerabilities they face, and assist such countries in building sustainable and resilient societies. It aims to introduce the advanced experience of Singapore and illustrate how digital technologies can be utilized by government in fostering transformation towards a sustainable and resilient society and ultimately how digital government can be an enabler for achieving the SDGs.

The Course also aims to provide the participants with a platform to share experiences and good practices of how to apply digital technologies to build sustainable and resilient societies through improving public service delivery and enhancing citizen engagement and partnership building to effectively implement the SDGs.
